Donny Osmond Invented The Strokes

Donny Osmond: C'Mon Marianne (Polydor, 1976)
He did. I promise. Here's my proof. Have a listen to the above, the lead track from Mr Osmond's 1976 masterpiece, Disco Train (it really is a great album, by the way).

Does it sound familiar to you? Well, it does to me...

It's like the missing link from The Doors 'Touch Me' to Iggy's 'Lust For Life' .This Professionals tune is another Strokesy song The Magnificent

PS - what were you doing with Donny Osmo' albums?

We were just playing the Four Seasons version of this the other night and opted for "Lust for Life" rather than Strokes as we're not v trendsome. I once worked in a record shop in Lewisham and a rather grande dame type lady came in and asked for "The Four Seasons". My mate quipped Frankie Vivaldi and the Four Seasons receiving the coldest death ray stare I'd ever witnessed at that point in my life. Happy days.
