Oh Dear, This Is A Bit Good

Our Broken Garden: Anchoring (Bella Union, 2008)
Someone's been reading my mind again - this is precisely the sort of thing that I always hope to find when I rip open my post in the morning (but rarely do). Our Broken Garden is Anna Brønsted from Efterklang (keep up!) gone all solo and stuff. Basically, if you've ever held a "torch" for far Northern European ambio-belly-button watching, you'll love this. I do and I do, if you see what I'm driving at. By the by, I went to college with someone who swore blind he helped smash up the Blue Peter garden. We were all quite impressed at the time. If he told me that now I'd want to smack his silly legs...

You went to college with Les Ferdinand?

Full marks for pointing out that tune. Top quality entertainment, inna ambio-belly-button-watching stylee.

On reflection, it seems to me that what this blog needs, analagous to Rob supplying downloadable top pop picks, is a way for Silvana to let us download her brownies etc.

Look into that, will you?

anon: we know bad people (and liars) :(
deselby: apologies. i have been remiss. Will change my ways. Having said that, I'm not crazy about Fleet Foxes despite the fact that everyone else seems to have decided they are amazing.

That Feedjit thing's scary...

'Dave from London came in and noodled about a bit. Looked at the Feedjit thing and wondered what What's He On About Now that somebody from New Zealand arrived from was. Had a look. Realised it was Hepworth's blog. Yawn. Came back. Scratched his nose. Thought 'Shall I dip into that bathwater the wife's kindly left me, or call it a day?'.

Noodled off again. Thought he might put the kettle on. Decided to call back soon'

*sigh*

Rob, v sorry for grouchy post above. Yes Fleet Foxes are not all that, but some stuff (White Winter Hymnal, Mykanos) very lovely. I should have said thanks for recommending Burial (Night Bus on first album tremendous expression of unidentifiable emotion you never knew you had) and Epic45. I'm v late with these things but get there sort of eventually. Yours, chastened, penitent etc
