Dr Dog

Scrap went to his cousin Rex's birthday party yesterday afternoon. The theme was 999 and rather than just buy him a fireman's outfit from ToysRus I foolishly thought I'd make him one. We decided on Dr Dog, the emergency vet. I made him an apron from a sheet of blue plastic and a skull cap from a J-cloth. Unfortunately, despite the box of dogs and stethoscope, all the parents thought he had come as a kitchen porter :(

love, i have this radioshow coming up where people want to hear everything about home-made cheese. i cant do gruyere - no emmentaler (dont know how to get the big holes in it...), no parmesan - so i am left with mascarpone. and ricotta. and this fake, but yummy! labneh cheese from your book. got a bowl full of cream on my stove, hope it will turn into mascarpone, soon. loooking good so far...

Oh that labneh is nice! Soft cheese is definitely the easiest to make at home. How is your mascarpone? I have found a recipe for you if you have no luck with the current batch.

When's your cheese show on the radio? I'm sure I'll be able to listen over the internet?
