Landcroft Picture Services: 2 Deptford
BLTP piped up to ask whether we had any nice pictures of Deptford. Do we? Only, like, a hundred... Anyway, we like this one a lot. "A man working in his shop at Deptford. November 1969". Simple, but wonderfully effective. He looks like a cross between Benny Hill and Ronnie Barker - how can you not love him?

Can't quite make out where it is, but it's a top pic, clearly it would be great to browse in the shop just for a few minutes.
Things to buy :
Lots of OMO
plastic sliced loafs with dog faces (behind him)
clippers for a thin tash!
cheers rob.
There's a 'Beech Nut' style chewing gum machine stage left and a Wall's 'Sky Ray' banner stage right. Marvellous.
I can just imagine the smell of that shop - detergent, tobacco and sweeties.
Any of Nunhead?!!!?
bltp: there's LOADS of Deptford. I might revisit!
PM: There's a couple of great internal shots - strictly for the hardcore - I'll mail you one. It's dead brand heaven.
NMoO: Yes! It's in the pipeline...
Any pics of Goole, East Yorkshire?
Hey BA: Yes - there is one... It's in the pipeline
to be honest, you don't actually see much Goole, but it's mentioned!
That'll do. It is the world's most boring town, so it's to be expected. The people of Goole are used to being slightly disappointed.
This shop is in trundley road Deptford behind sir francis drake school, I used to visit it when i came out of school, we called it jacks shop. I visited it in the early 70s
