Oh my good God, he has forgotten his trousers SURELY.
Nothing wrong with enjoying that Kylie mash-UP, it rules. Which reminds me young Rob, did you really invent the word mash-up or is that a dastardly ruse?
James: I had a girlfriend (for a week) when I was about 13 who went to see New Order play this live on Top Of The Pops. She thought they were amazing.
Jude: It's the knees that get me. Well, them and the socks... And, yes!, I did invent mash-up" (according to the intranot, ie, I probably didn't).
BLTP: Isn't it? It's an incredible, fascinating clip of a band making a dance record before making dance records became really easy. Just think how much stuff as good as this the BBC must have...
I vaguely remember watching this when it went out. I think it was part of some all day BBC2 (Whistle Test) special that went out live - 23 years ago?!! I think it goes to show that on the whole music is best served without visuals. I could be wrong but I'm sure that people then would imagine that the future of music would be in tamdem with video by 2007.
BH is right, it was on a summer saturday afternoon. NO played a half hour set, it is worth trawling youtube to see the rest of it, notably a petulant Barney getting mad at the drummer.

Blue Monday would be in my top ten tunes list.
For some strange reason I liked the remix they did of it with the Kylie song a couple of years ago.

this is just great, why doesn't the Beeb make more of this sort of footage.
