My colleague Jude has just been on the phone to her close personal friend, David Tennant out of Dr Who. We have had to jam the doors open to cool the place down a bit on account of every woman in the building coming into the office wanting to touch the phone his voice came out of.Anyway, his nomination for The Best Restaurant In London goes to: His local restaurant, Pick More Daisies in Crouch End. "There used to be a Pizza Express here, but chains aren't too popular with the posh people of Crouch End, so it had to go. But this place is fantastic."
David also wanted to mention Bistro Aix, a "great French bistro, also in Crouch End. It's like walking into your granny's living room!"
I'm loving this best restaurant "feature"...

after watching the last couple of episodes I would have thought that the restaurant at the end of the universe would have been more his cup of tea...
maybe I'm confusing my BBC si-fi series there, and maybe a restaurant in crouch end kind of qualifies for that description anyway...

I have been to Bistro Aix and can confirm it is very nice indeed.
Also John Simm – the Master – lives in Crouch End. Is this is a coincidence or something...more...sinister?
Shush! It's hard enough to get a table in Pushing Up Daisies (as us Crouchies call it) as it is, without having to fit a Tardis and 3,000 Whovians in, too.
