Weather: Quite Interesting Then

This isn't, as you might think, a still from some futuristic, eco-disaster film. Oh no. It's the view from my office window. If I never see any of you again, it's been nice, etcetc.

Yeah, the skyline in Leeds is equally as daunting. Meant to be taking the kids to the cricket tomorrow evening - our third attempt because of the weather!

Stay inside! Lock your doors! Don't wear anything metallic!

Bloody hell, Peckham has just been flash flooded.

I know Dis, it was quite a shock and a little scary - I was driving to nursery and thought those giant hailstones were going to crack my windscreen..

By the way - I do actually know someone who was struck by lightening. Honest.

And what happened?

Dis do you mean, and were you going to say that it rendered me super intelligent?

Clodagh said...

Sorry, meant to say Dis, do you mean ME? And obviously it rendered me super intelligent.

Blimey Clodagh was it you then? What happened? Were you under a tree?

Was 18yrs old, at the York Mystery plays, thunder and lightening everywhere, next thing I knew I was lying on my back on the ground. It had hit the tree I was standing under, all the birds from the tree were dead on the floor. I got on the front page of the local newspaper. Other than a big purple bruise on my arm which disappeared about an hour later I was fine. Of course - there is the subsequent complete inability to concentrate and blonde diziness!. Not sure if it was a direct hit, or channeled by the tree! But I was definitely zapped!

Silvana - just had a thought, possibly the result of too much Pouilly Fume but if you ever need any authentic french stuff/ingredients sent over that you can't get there (which, thinking about it, is probably doubtful) then just let me know? Or even if you just fancy a treat that you can't get easily. I'm in the middle of goats cheese country, pineau and walnuts!

Your office isn't on the set of some sci-fi movie is it?

Glad you're still here to tell the tale Clodagh! And thanks for the ingredients offer - I get asked to source allsorts so it's very good to know. More thunder and lightning forecast for today :(

It was all a bit biblical yesterday afternoon. Does anyone know where I can find a design for an ark?

You can come with me in mine, although you have to bring someone else, you can only come in two by two, it's in the rules apparently.
