Records I Can't Stand 2

No Doubt: Hey Baby (Interscope, 2001)

Style icon?
On-trend fashonista?
I don't think so.
Gwen Stefani looks shocking if you ask me. She's been on a diet since she was 13 apparently. Robert says she's absolutely lovely in 'real life' and I'm sure she is but there's very little I like less than than someone with good self-discipline.

And my, this is one hell of a bad song.

I say goodbye pink cava, hello rehab

Did you hear that god-awful racket coming from somewhere near the Horniman? Apparently a dinner party got out of hand. Some people were playing hip hop so loud that I couldn't hear the TV. I was watching the Property Ladder so it was most annoying.

Oh Lordy we made a racket didn't we. Sorry about the hip hop. They've gone to the woods and I'm trying to plough through my vat return but the room's still moving.

Morning !

I was not familiar with song, so thanks (sarcastic) for drawing my attention to it. Is she singing or retching?

We could hear your loud music from here (south staffs). I've requested an ASBO..

She should try and cahnge her look once a decade. That platinum hair!

I'm not trying to be mean, but, maybe it's time for her to stop pretending to be 19 :(

I quite liked it at the time (she says embarrassedly) but she does sound like she's retching now that Valentine Suicide mentions it!

And yes, it is time for a new image I think - every-one lauds her for being stylish but that hair has to go. (And she's had a boob job! Shhh!)

Gwen's dad Dennis works as a market researcher at the LA office of my old agency. Around his desk he's got lots of family pictures of her and she looks pretty and normal. And apparently she is rather lovely in real life.

I'm sure she's lovely. Really, really bad song though!
